The art form known as stand up comedy has taken a very noticeable dip in recent years because of PC culture, and as somebody who doesn’t perpetually have a stick up my ass and enjoys laughing and enjoying funny things, it sucks. One of the funniest people to be pushed out of the spotlight in the past few years has been comedic genius Louis CK. I already blogged about his “return” to standup after being #MeToo’d, but this new set makes it seem as if he is officially back and I couldn’t be happier. The only reason why myself and I’m sure many others even heard about this newly released bootleg audio of his December 16th set at Governor’s on Long Island is because people started bitching about it on twitter. The main focus of their complaints is a 2 minute clip aimed at making fun of how overly sensitive millennials are. During it, he makes jokes about transgender people and their preferred pronouns, as well as The Parkland Shooting survivors. Trust me when I say both jokes are great, as are all of the jokes in the set, but it’s even better because the same millennials he was making fun of for being overly sensitive responded with sensitivity, therefore proving his entire point. All of the tabloids put out clickbait titles immediately, apparently in disbelief that a comedian who specializes in dark humor made some hilarious and offensive jokes. This lead to it eventually trending on the front of Twitter, and caused even more offended pussies to complain about how he shouldn’t be given a platform at all. They decided to de-platform him by providing links to the actual set, which is how I found it. So in an attempt to proclaim their intent to make Louis CK irrelevant, they made him more relevant than he’s been in a year. Classic case of shooting themselves in the foot, but I guess thank you for providing the link to me. Here is the set in it’s entirety, but I must warn you that somebody sitting close to the person recording is the most annoying person in the world. He has a more annoying laugh than Janice from Friends and is making stupid comments throughout the video, but my love of Louis CK supersedes his annoying tendencies and allowed me to push through without driving to New York and murdering him. Anyway, fuck you if you’re offended by jokes. This was such a great late Christmas gift for me and a great way to end the year. Welcome back to one of the greatest standup comedians of all time: Mr. Louis CK
