“Dig” is a song by the alternative rock band Incubus, and it appeared as the second single on their sixth studio album, Light Grenades, which was released in 2006

Light Grenades reached Number 1 during the week it was released, becoming the band’s first ever number one album, but then disaster struck. The album then experienced a record breaking drop, as it fell to number 37 the following week. The record has since been broken, but it remains the 3rd largest week-to-week drop in album sales ever. I know it’s not what the album title means, but I think we can all agree that light grenades are much better than heavier ones. Trying to throw heavy grenades sounds like a good way to blow yourself into pieces, and nobody wants that

Anyway, back to the song. Incubus has a lot of great songs that received a decent amount of radio play in the 2000’s, but this is probably my favorite of theirs. In typical Incubus fashion, the song has great lyrics accompanied with great guitar work, and the music video gets a little cartoony and trippy as well, for an added bonus

Personally, I prefer an incubus over a succubus, and I’m sure most guys can agree with me on that because we’ve all lost a friend or two to a succubus over years.
