“Words I Never Said” is a song by Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco, and it was a single from his third studio album, Lasers, which was released in 2011
This song, along with “The Show Goes On”, acted as the lead singles for the album and both received pretty extensive radio play back in the day, making sense as this is probably Lupe’s most commercially successful album
This song in particular deals with a number of political and societal issues, and Lupe’s effortlessly out hypocrisy and bullshit over the course of 4 minutes. Hot take alert: Although often left off the list, Lupe Fiasco might sneakily be a top 15-20 rapper of all time
As for it getting loud inside your head because of words you never said, that’s why I make sure to always say whatever thoughts go on in my head. That’s essentially what my twitter and this site, Booze Blogs, is for anyway: Just me airing out all of my dumb thoughts for people to read. Helps to reduce the clutter, you know?
With words that I, should have said
As I drown, in my regrets
