“Praise You” is a song by the English DJ Fatboy Slim, and it appeared on his 1998 album You’ve Come A Long Way Baby. I’ve always loved the name Fatboy Slim. There’s just something about that oxymoron that puts a smile on my face, and it kinda sounds like the name of a Prohibition Era bootlegger or gangster

Beyond just having a cool name, Fatboy Slim is a really talented DJ who was crucial in the emerging big beat genre in England during the 1990’s. The overall catchiness and “Where the hell is this going next?” vibes that he produces on his songs are second to none, and I recommend checking out some of his other stuff if you haven’t already

As for this song in particular, it’s definitely one of his more popular songs. It’s been used in a few movies and also still receives radio play, so I’m sure you’ve heard it before. I also had to include the music video because it’s great. There’s just something about the awkwardness of the dancing and the looks of utter confusion on the faces of everybody watching that cracks me up every time
