“Open Wide” is a song by Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, and it appeared on his 2014 album Motion. The song features Detroit rapper Big Sean, and this combination of EDM and rap is an odd one, but it totally works here.
A definite party song, you’ll hear this song playing in bars a lot, and that drop always makes me start dancing like the drunk white moron that I am. As for the lyrics, I can say with a fair level of certainty that it’s my favorite song about demanding a blowjob (Relisten to the chorus if you somehow didn’t pick up on that)
Calvin Harris sneakily might be in the best position as far as music goes. The guy releases bangers after banger and travels the globe playing sets in packed clubs and festivals, banging smokes, and collecting bags of money in the process. Dumping Taylor Swift was the smartest thing this guy ever did. It all worked out though, seeing as Taylor probably used their breakup to write her next album
As catchy and liked as the song is, I don’t think using the lyrics would be a good pick up line. Walking up to a random girl at a bar and saying, “Now open that shit wide, let me see how big your mouth is!” sounds like a really good way to get a drink thrown in your face. Then again, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take though. So either you end getting slapped and thrown out of the bar by security, or you end up getting your dick sucked in a bathroom stall. Talk about high risk, high reward
PS: Gotta love that little Ariana Grande chirp at the end. “This goes out to, uh, you know who this goes out to”
