We’re now through 6 weeks of the 2020-21 NFL season, and I’ve been having a good time so far. Sure my Patriots are currently under .500 and in 3rd place in our division, but a more important team —My Gambling Record—is well above .500 right now. It’s a hell of a lot easier to swallow the fact that your team’s season isn’t going well when you’re making money in the process, so at least I’ve got that going for me
Heading into Week 6, my gambling record for the season so far was 42-33-2. Was I able to add onto this in a positive way, or was this the week it all came crashing down? Let’s take a look at how I did in Week 6

When all was said and done, I ended up going a season’s best 11-3 in Week 6. When you’re hot, you’re hot, and I’m on fucking fire right now. Now cue up the obligatory Johnny Drama GIF!
Excuse the gloating, but you can’t blame me for celebrating this heater. Gambling is a world of high highs and low lows, so pardon me while I enjoy this success while I can, because we all know how fast your luck can swing
But not everything was smiles in Week 6. Even though I did have 11 wins, I also had 3 losses, so let’s quickly take a look at those games and see what happened
WEEK 6 LOSS RECAPS
VIKINGS: This game was cursed from the get-go. Wanna know why? Because fuck The Falcons, that’s why. It didn’t matter who I took in this one because it was destined to be a loser. I decided to go with The Vikings, even without star running back Dalvin Cook, because of how abysmal and untrustworthy The Falcons have been this year. Naturally, The Falcons—being the assholes that they are—decided to come out hot in this one and won a game for once. Had I done the opposite and took The Falcons, they would have gotten killed. That’s just the way The Falcons are. They’re betting kryptonite, and any game that they’re involved in should be avoided at all costs
PATRIOTS: It’s one thing when a bet loses, but it’s an even worse feeling when it’s a team you’re a fan of. My God what a terrible game this was from The Pats. The Broncos walked into Gillette and held The Patriots to 3 points in the first half. I don’t know for sure, but that has to be one of, if not the, lowest scoring half in The Belichick Era. Just a gross game all around, but I do have McManus on one of my fantasy teams, so watching him go 6/6 on field goals was welcomed with open arms
RAMS: After a 9-2 Sunday I was hoping to end the day on the day by reaching double digits, but The Rams we’re unable to get it done against a beat up 49ers team. This loss especially sucked because I hated the pick after seeing a lot of people I know were hopping on Niners, and then had to wait around all day for it to finally lose. Goff just couldn’t make the throws when necessary, although to his credit Cooper Kupp’s drop in the end zone was bad. Gotta have that. Either way, they wouldn’t have covered, so it’s a moot point. Like I said though, I went 9-3 on Sunday and 11-3 overall, so it’s tough to complain about one game
Lastly, my Why Not Parlay for Week 6 didn’t hit either. This week’s play was Dolphins ML, Patriots ML, and Cardinals ML. I forgot I had my Patriots in the Why Not Parlay for this week, so this adds a whole new level of disappointment that they were the ones who screwed it up. The Why Not Parlay is now 1-2 on the season, but oh well, we’ll try again next week
And that’s that. I’m currently sitting at 53-36-2 for the year, and I couldn’t be happier. This is not only the best start to a season I’ve ever had for NFL, but it’s also one of the best streaks I’ve ever had in my betting career as a whole. I’m living large right now, and last night I ordered $70 worth of Chinese food and didn’t even think twice. Now that I’ve had a taste of the good life I can’t go back, so lets hope I can keep this streak going in Week 7
