If you read my Week 6 Picks blog or saw my tweet from last week, I already briefly explained why I didn’t have a chance to do either NFL related blog for Week 5. Work was busy and then I went on vacation and didn’t really have the time to sit down and type away, so instead I just took the week off altogether.
Well now I’m back and ready for Week 6. I was hoping to come back from that mini break to an easy week, but it’s looking like this will be anything but. Between injuries and some less than ideal matchups, it was slim pickings this week while doing my lineups.
I try to get these blogs up early in the week, so consider this week the exception. Better late than never, right?
Anyway. Let’s take a look at my position power rankings for Week 6

Like I said above, I’m not sure if it’s just a lot of injuries, matchups or what, but something about the salaries and default DK rankings just felt a little weird to me this week. A key to winning on Draft Kings is not to overthink it though, so like every week, I went with my gut.
I also decided to load up my teams based on who my starting QB is, which is a strategy I usually don’t like to do. However, this week felt like a good week to do it.
As far as what players I have the most faith in and drafted in multiple lineups, I went with Mark Ingram, Chris Carson, Austin Hooper, and Byron Pringle. Carson and Ingram were easy draft picks because of their moderate salary and the fact that they’re both going against teams with awful run defenses. As for Austin Hooper, The Falcons love to throw the ball. This should be great news, but unfortunately they spread the ball out so much that nobody is really consistently getting all of the targets and TD’s. But at a 5 grand salary and against a Cardinals Defense that has let up a lot of red zone touchdowns to tight ends this year though, I think he’s a good play. Lastly, Byron Pringle. It’s no secret that Mahomes loves to air the ball out, and the Chiefs are hurting for receivers right now with Sammy Watkins out and Tyreek Hill still questionable. Pringle stepped in and went off for 25 fantasy points last week, and with the Chiefs in the shape they are and with a salary of only $3,500, why not? Also, his name is fucking awesome, which just made the choice that much easier and made me crave some Pringles.
So there you have it. Posted it WAY later than usual seeing as it’s Sunday morning and kickoff is just a few hours away, but better late than never.
Unfortunately for me I have to work OT today so I won’t be able to watch the early window of games. This sucks because nothing makes my Sunday like watching some Red Zone and waiting to hear my player’s names get called out. Oh well, guess I’ll just have to keep checking the Draft Kings app.
That’s all for now. Good luck this week everybody, and let’s hope that our players find the end zone.
