Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and in addition to being a day dedicated to drinking beer and stuffing your face with delicious food that pisses off you vegan cousin, it also brings with it 3 football games on a Thursday. For that reason, I’ve decided the 3 Thanksgiving games are worthy of their own betting and Draft Kings guide. I guess I’ll start it off with the betting guide first and then work my way into my Draft Kings power rankings. Here are the Turkey Day matchups from earliest to latest
12:30 CHICAGO BEARS (-3.5) @ DETROIT LIONS (+3.5): BEARS -3.5
4:30 WASHINGTON REDSKINS (+3.5) @ DALLAS COWBOYS (-3.5): COWBOYS -3.5
8:20 ATLANTA FALCONS (+10.5) @ NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (-10.5): SAINTS -10.5
I hate to be boring and go with all of the favorites, but realistically it’s the best move in all of these matchups. Khalil Mack and the Bears are gonna have a field day with the Lions O line, so as long as Chicago generates even the slightest bit of offense, they should have no problem covering -3.5. The 4:30 matchup should also be a gimme. Given the season ending injury to Alex Smith last week, the Cowboys would have to really blow it to not win this home game by more than a field goal. Then comes the night game. The Saints are one, if not the best, offenses in football right now, and given their home record, I don’t see the Falcons keeping this one within 10.5 points.
Now lets get into my Draft Kings power rankings for the Thanksgiving games. Since there are only 3 games to choose from, the rankings are already pretty straight forward for the most part, but I’m gonna do them anyway. Only difference between the usual my Draft Kings blogs is that I’m going to do the top 6 with no cheaper sleepers. Alright, lets get at it

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see why I went with a majority of players from the Saints/Falcons games. This should be a high scoring affair, and for that reason, any player on either team has the potential to put up a lot of points. That’s all for now. Hope every body has a good Thanksgiving by pushing your body to the limit via alcohol and food. That’s the true meaning behind Thanksgiving, and what the Indians died for, so make sure you get in the holiday spirit tomorrow
