And here’s an extended version along with the official music video that shows them recording the song in the studio back in the 80’s, pretty cool watch
“The Perfect Kiss” is a song by the British synth pop band New Order from their 1985 album Low Life. New Order formed with the remaining members of Joy Division after Ian Curtis’s suicide in 1980, and decided to take on more of synth-driven style rather than their old post-punk sound. The 80’s was ruled by synthesizers and I think that New Order was among the best when it came to making catchy songs with them. If this song doesn’t make you want to time travel back to 85′ and dance in a club while high as fuck on coke something must be wrong with you. As for a perfect kiss, I don’t think I’ve ever had one. Anytime I’ve ever kissed somebody it’s usually while shitfaced in a dive bar or something like that, and I don’t think that exactly fits the profile of a perfect kiss. Actually, I would say that the only perfect kisses I’ve had in my lifetime are whenever I touch my lips to a can of beer. Simply beautiful every single time.
