Shuffle Song Of The Day (6/25/18): “Give Up The Game” By Children Of The Corn

“Give Up The Game” is a song by the Harlem hip hop group Children Of The Corn That was recorded in the 90’s but released in 2003. The group consisted of 5 childhood friends (Mase, Big L, Cam’ron, Herb McGruff and Bloodshed) and achieved no mainstream success as a group. Despite this, Mase, Cam’ron and Big L went on to have careers in the rap world. Children Of The Corn was just one of many impressive rap acts that got completely overlooked by the world and didn’t get any of the credit they deserved. Sad!

Favorite Lyric(s)

Feds knock down my door like it’s a robbery

Subjecting me to give into bribery

Preaching it’s no survive for me

Spies putting bombs in my whip

And it makes me wanna flip

But nah I ain’t going legit

Yo I’m a run hysterically until they bury me,

Count numerically,

Hills of Beverly, with more Grands then Cherokee

Cause I live fast and trife,

The shit don’t last for life,

But right now, all this cash is nice

So any beef kid here’s the remedy

No Diggity, and if you ain’t no kin to me

I tell you now, I bust off like Yosemite
