Shuffle Song Of The Day (5/9/18): “Zombie” By The Cranberries

“Zombie” is a song by the Irish rock band The Cranberries from their 1994 album No Need To Argue. The song was written in response to IRA attacks in Northern Ireland, more specifically the 1993 Warrington Bombing that killed 2 young kids. It was an international hit, and reached number 1 in a lot of European countries. Lead singer Dolores O’Riordan surprisingly died earlier this year out of nowhere, which sucks because her voice was awesome. Don’t really know how to describe it, but I kinda wanna have sex with her voice somehow, so RIP.

Favorite Lyric(s)

Another head hangs lowly

Child is slowly taken

And the violence caused such silence

Who are we mistaking?

But, you see it’s not me

It’s not my family

In your head, in your head

They are fighting

With their tanks and their bombs

And their bombs and their guns

In your head in your head they are crying
