Shuffle Song Of The Day (5/7/18): “Face Down” By The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

“Face Down” is a song by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus from their 2006 debut album Don’t You Fake It. The band name makes absolutely no sense, and I can’t for the life of me understand what type of apparatus you could use for a red jumpsuit. Anyway, this is a pop punk jam that talks about domestic abuse and how much of a pussy it makes you if you beat the shit out of a woman. Bill Burr explains it well

Favorite Lyric(s)

Cover up with make up in the mirror,

Tell yourself it’s never gonna happen again,

You cry alone and then he swears he loves you

Do you feel like a man when you push her around?,

Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground?,

Well I’ll tell you my friend, one day this world’s got to end,

As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found

Face down in the dirt,

She said “This doesn’t hurt!”,

She said “I finally had enough!”
