Shuffle Song Of The Day (4/3/18): “Hella Good” By No Doubt

“Hella Good” is song by No Doubt off of their 2001 album Rock Steady. No Doubt had always been a sorta ska/punk band since their formation, but in the late 90’s and in the Rock Steady album they changed their sound to a mix of electronic dance music and rock. This combination led to them coming out with bangers like this, and I’m definitely not complaining. Safe to say I wouldn’t mind dancing with hot ass Gwen Stefani, and then making her feel hella good for a whole 45 seconds in bed. I always thought that California people saying “hella” was sort of a myth or a stereotype, but now I see that it’s a real thing from this song. I think saying hella is weird, but then again I say wicked every other word so who am I to judge? Actually, I am gonna judge. Wicked >>> Hella, and that’s just a fact. Anybody who disagrees is a wicked huge pussy. Anyway, this song is hella wicked good.

Favorite Lyric(s)

The waves keep on crashing on me for some reason,
But your love keeps on coming like a thunder bolt

You got me feelin’ hella good,
So let’s just keep on dancin’,
You hold me like you should,
So I’m gonna keep on dancin’

The performers deserving of standing ovations,
And who would have thought it’d be the two of us,
So don’t wake me if I’m dreamin’,
Cause I’m in the mood come on and give it up
